Farm share, week 8
Aug. 2nd, 2023 06:34 pm- eight ears of corn (bought from Warner Farm as planned since Stone Soup didn't plant corn this year)
- two medium-large onions (I'm guessing Ailsa Craig variety; harvested from Kitchen Garden Farm)
- two pounds of carrots (harvested from Next Barn Over)
- two bunches of green curly kale (harvested from ountain View Farm)
- two small Italian eggplants
- two large green peppers
- four small tomatoes (unclear where they came from)
- two small fennel (ditto)
First thoughts: corn and tomato salad! Corn stock with the corn bones. Roasted ratatouille (will need more tomatoes). Possibly corn relish. Kale salad or with mashed potatoes or something.
This felt a bit light compared to previous weeks; I think I'll be stopping at a farmers market too.
