Farm share, week 11

• summer squash (five zucchini, one summer squash proper)
  
• eight sweet onions
  
• a bunch of scallions
  
• two heads of lettuce (one red leaf, one green leaf
  
• perhaps a bit more than a pound of carrots
  
• four short, squat eggplant
  
• banana peppers (four green, four red)
  
• tomatoes, one large red one, and a pint of mixed cherry tomatoes (with a few pear tomatoes too)
  
• two melons (one cantaloupe, one watermelon)

So far: the squash, some onions, eggplant, peppers, and large tomato have been roasted (I'm calling it ratatouille), the watermelon cut up. The plan is to make cantaloupe soup, and use the lettuce, little tomatoes, and some scallions for a main-course salad with chicken.

Also, the red peppers were in poor shape, the large tomato cracked from transit, the cantaloupe has a seriously squishy bit, and the watermelon didn't have complete hull integrity either. I was not happy at pickup, but too tired to type it out (it's still hot today, but I have temporary refuge in the very well airconditioned library, which alas closes soon).
