Winter CSA

I signed up for a winter roots CSA from Winter Moon Roots (twice a month or so for three months) and a 20-week weekly mushroom share from RI Mushroom Company. Based on last year's experience, the CSA deliveries tend to be pretty similar, so instead of doing individual posts, I'm going to just update this one through the season.

CSA deliveries
Dec 2: a big bag of roots including carrots (yellow, orange, and purple), forona beets, golden beets, starburst purple daikon radishes, golden potatoes, Macomber turnips, plus a package of Mi Tierra tortillas (I set up a plan with a gluten-free non-kosher coworker to funnel these all to him, which means he and his wife get tortillas they're always looking for, and I get a bit of cash back), and a bag of Baer’s dry beans.

Dec 16: thirteen orange carrots, four chioggia beets and two small red beets, a starburst purple daikon, six gold potatoes, two large parsnips, and a bag of Italian cranberry beans

Jan 13: gold beets and forona beets, carrots, korean daikon, rainbow carrots, beans, potatoes (tortillas missing again)

Jan 27: two red beets, two Chioggia beets, a lot of orange carrots plus some yellow & purple, a Starburst purple daikon, a parsnip, some Yukon Gold potatoes, three packages of tortillas (to make up for the missing ones from previous weeks), a bag of cranberry beans

Feb 10: red beets, lots of orange carrots, three parsnips, white potatoes, a Macomber rutabaga, a bag of tortillas and a bag of yellow-eye beans
