Farm share, week 19

• two butternut squashes
  
• ten Eva white potatoes (not a large kind of potato)
  
• five carrots
  
• six beets
  
• two heads of lettuce (I chose one green-leaf and one red)
  
• two stalks of broccoli
  
• two yellow onions
  
• two tiny purple eggplants
  
• a third of a pound of mushrooms (biggest gripe with the replacement mushroom vendor: not labeling which type of mushroom is inside the brown paper bag)

I just signed up for my first CSA, which will have a pickup point at my workplace for a winter share. I enjoy reading your bounty and what you do with it and I keep thinking "I should do that (if I could get the hubby to be more into veggies)", and now I can! (He'll eat more of the winter veggies than the summer ones, I believe.)

Congrats on the CSA!

I find that the winter ones have lots of roots and squashes, and sometimes hearty greens, too. Most people like onions/potatoes/carrots, but often find turnips/parsnips/rutabagas a bit less appealing. I hope he likes whatever you end up getting!
