Friends changing names; at least 3 of my friends have changed their names in the last week or so. (The users are the same, but the names have been changed to protect the innocent. Or something...)
Interesting. What were their reasons? I know very few people who've done official name changes for reasons other than marriage. They didn't all hyphenate, did they?
No, no, I didn't mean people out in the world; I was trying to say (and failing, obviously), that friends on my LJ friends list were changing their user names, which I find interesting, partly b/c it took me a while to come up with an alias I liked and felt was... not just one aspect of me (I thought of something like Bread_Baker at one point, then hated the thought of being known as that one part of me.). So changing would take me a bit of time/thought.d
