Based on friend's FB status updates, it's the Academy Awards tonight. People are having Oscar parties, and all I can think of is Oscar-the-Grouch themed parties.
What is "cooking cream" anyway? Sounds like a totally made-up-by-agribusiness product.
Best new-to-me kosher-for-Passover product I've seen this year: prefab pie crusts made of coconut macaroons (in a couple of different flavors, even).
Lower back pain = extreme discomfort sitting = more lying down = much less crocheting
Which is to say, boo on a lot of levels.
Best image from a kid book read this weekend: written music seeming to be "Mickey Mouse feet writing" to a six-year-old.
I've now seen (season 2 of) Downton Abbey, and while I enjoyed it, I'm not sure why there's such hullabaloo about it; it keeps feeling like an updated version of Upstairs, Downstairs. In other words, good stories, but essentially a reworking of a known plotbunny. Anyone care to enlighten me?
