Firefly highlights
Jul. 5th, 2011 12:37 pm+ this year's bug was.... a mammoth, with enormous tusks
time to catch up with people I already knew (camping with a number of them)
 meeting new people
 hugs and massage
conversation ranging from gender politics to brain chemistry to tabletop gaming to Pennsic to creative projects to food (um, surprise :-) and more
 steam bathing
 fireflies at Firefly
 trying new things
creative opportunities in the form of painting a mask (which walked off, unfortunately) and deconstructing T-shirts (one that Kaz found with my name spray-painted on it!)
enjoying the variable-colored lines of lights inside the Diode dome, both with and without glasses (even better without, actually)
so many art pieces that light up in the dark woods
 backgammon with a dapper gentleman
 feeding people
getting a set of lights for my tutu
compliments on my hats, tutu, and booze, all of which felt great
managing to schlep most of my things up and down the hill by myself (I'm feeling some muscles quite a lot today, though....)
watching a little towheaded girl delightedly play in the stream
enjoying one third of my camp's contributions quite a lot; the heavy metal was excellent
having a lot more musical range of options this year (best live music: a cellist playing during breakfast!)
