+ lots of walking
+ making it to shul at a reasonable hour
- realizing I'd learned the third aliyah... of the wrong parasha (thank heavens for amazing people who can do this cold, and for people telling me it happens all the time; I felt horrible about it)
+++ HONK! Fest, including my particular favorites, Emperor Norton's Stationary Marching Band (not always so stationary, actually), and March Fourth, though pretty much every band I heard was fun
++ not just music, but stilts, stilt acrobatics, spinners of diverse sorts, juggling, and other performances
++ seeing lots and lots of familiar faces, too many to shout out here (*waves* to everyone)
+ lots of dancing, music that I couldn't keep still to
+ dressing up and joining the end of the parade (from random bits of my wardrobe, even), and a few compliments on it
+ Gala apples
- not getting more ready for Sukkot
- undersleptness
+ getting some outstanding Sukkot guestage figured out
+ a Russo's run (I remain astounded at their variety of winter squashes)
+ an unexpected merch gift
+ best overheard phrase*: "I used to be a dead cabaret singer."
* The Romans had some form of fortunetelling based on phrases overheard in conversation. I wonder what this would mean to me?
