Please pay your bills, or at least work out a payment plan with your creditors. I am tired of getting calls from them, especially when they repeatedly ask if I know you, where you live, where you can be reached, and so on. If nothing else, please give them your proper contact information.

Sounds like fun. You might want to think about checking your credit report to make sure someone does not mistakenly put David's bill issue on your report.

Oy, I've dealt with that twice before. One was an old roommate who never updated his contact info (I'm guessing on purpose), and one was the person who lived in my apartment before me. No matter how many times I told their credit companies that I wasn't them and had no contact info, they kept on calling and writing.

The only advice I can give is to be super nice on the phone with them, so they don't think you're trying to protect/hide David $YourLastName. Good luck!

To the best of my knowledge, there is no David in my family (with my last name; I'm related to a couple of Davids with other last names), and the only way someone would think David lived here was from a phone book search... I'd assume that's not enough to put someone else's money stuff on my credit.

The thing is, I know no one of this name. I'm related to Davids, but with other surnames, not mine. And I've lived alone here for well over a decade (and the previous people had way different names).
