Commuting notes
Sep. 25th, 2007 09:38 amYesterday was a turkey morning, and I almost missed it: he was much farther down the grassy alley than I've seen him before. Also yesterday morning, some bicyclist coming off the Longfellow Bridge into the tangle of an intersection by the Charles/MGH stop was obviously not slowing down for the red light in his direction, since he almost ran me over.
Someone was visiting Harvard yesterday afternoon, important enough to rate at least six motorcycle cops and two cruisers (one of them Boston, interestingly) as an escort. I wonder who it was.
This morning, there was a guy on Longfellow with a clipboard and a little counter with four different buttons, tallying traffic, both vehicular and pedestrian. I didn't ask him who for, but I'm wondering whether it ties in to the boats that have apparently been doing work on the bridge supports.
