Restrictions: kosher; ovo-lacto vegetarian; no cabbage, kale, broccoli, bell peppers
Other considerations: request for no quiche, since that's been the popular choice to bring; minimal onions, and only if well cooked; use up farm share veggies before tomorrow's infusion; minimize grocery shopping0
[edit also, it's very humid, so nothing too heavy /edit]

What I ended up delivering:
  • a smallish bag of cucumber salad, the kind with feta, mint, and lemon zest, dressed with lemon juice, olive oil, and some black pepper. I had to buy the cucumber at the farmer's market; everything else I already had in the kitchen or on the porch.
  • a big bag with green salad: red leaf lettuce, chives, marigolds, diced orange, black pepper, and croutons (made from some of the leftover rolls from Dad's birthday kiddush this weekend), plus a little bag with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
  • a big bag of ziti mixed with sauteed onions, beet greens, and zucchini, also black olives (the canned kind; more kiddush leftovers), pine nuts, and hummus. I'm not sure how I ended up with this combination, but they seemed to like it. *whew*

I didn't have time to finish roasting the beets with yet more zucchini and some onion, so that will be for my lunch tomorrow, with the rest of the leftovers.

Other pluses: I got to hold the baby; he's very cute, in that mini-professor sort of way :-) And I got to taste an amazing gingerbread with fresh ginger in it. Yum! Plus one-on-one social time is a good thing.
