Short stuff
Apr. 16th, 2007 09:56 pmNo standing water in the basement, despite the rain. Yay. Sucky weather for the marathon, though. And the parents got snow out in Worcester.
The place two houses up the street from me is for sale: I recognized the photo in a brochure. I didn't know it was a one family, nor that it is a four-bedroom Queen Anne (plus off-street parking!). A mere $1.15M. There were some interesting-looking places in Somerville, but not interesting enough to contemplate moving (well, packing, really).
Painting T-shirts can be fun, even without much artistic talent. More paint may be in order. Also, 5XL T-shirts are about knee-length on me.
I walked around part of Methuen today, appreciating the old houses (bet they don't cost $1.15M!) and watching the river hurtle by. No wonder there's a bunch of old mills there (and there used to be the Tenney Hat Factory, too. Interesting.).
Annoyance at self: not having submitted last year's medical receipts in time for reimbursement. I thought it was the end of March; note to self to check before the end of this year. Also to batch them every couple of months as necessary.
Goodbye to the Malden Mills store. I spent too much, but it was on sale! Very cheap! And I resisted much fleece, truly.
I put more books into LibraryThing, but not much dentage: I'm in the middle of the ninth shelf, over 350 books in. And there's more than 30 shelves left. Though some of the done shelves are the picture books, so there won't be quite as many books/shelf for the rest.
For Boston-local kosher people, they're doing another kosher survey. For NYC-local people, the Great Saunter is coming up, Saturday, May 5.
