con plague
Jan. 28th, 2002 09:37 amthe sunday of arisia, i already knew i was getting sick; the tickle at the back of the throat always leads to something. (i wish they didn't allow smoking in the lobby. for some reason the lack of sleep and possible exposure to other sick people don't feel like the cause as much as the smoke i had to pass by on the way to the terrace room and other places.)
so this past week i coughed. i woke up in the middle of the night coughing, despite a 2nd pillow to keep my head elevated (of course, causing a stiff neck, too). i coughed at work. i managed not to cough (much) while out at shows/movies/concerts/parties with friends by the liberal consumption of cough drops.
with the beginning of the new week, it finally seems to be going away. (or maybe it was cthulhia's banishing of all con plague). hooray. no waking up in the middle of the night. the regular one pillow. and the possibility that i could come to work and be able to do something after without getting overtired and cranky (sorry to those who were with me thursday night....). yippee.
(of course, having typed this, something shall have to come back with a vengeance....)
