Farm share, week 9
Aug. 2nd, 2006 07:32 pmSo much stuff this week; I'm very glad I moved my car close by, because I was worried about the walk in the heat with the weight.
And a Boston Oganics delivery: small box, half fruit.
And a dozen eggs.
And now, I should eat something. Fast :-).
- two bunches of kale (I got lacinato.)
- twelve pickling cucumbers/summer squash (I split it between zukes and cukes.)
- a bunch of dill or parsley (I chose dill.)
- twenty new potatoes (I got red-skinned ones.)
- ten ears of corn
- a musk melon (like a cantaloupe, but with sections noticeable on the outside)
- ten tomatoes (including a yellow one! and some neat heirloom kind!)
- a head of lettuce (I got red leaf.)
- two peppers (I got an almost-white bell pepper, and a long pepper that's turning red.)
- an onion with greens
- a bunch of carrots with greens (I got purple ones!)
- fruit share: a pint of blueberries
- five peaches
