Shabbat menu, simplified version

- challah with flaxseed meal, multigrain flakes, bulghur
- soup with chicken in it. Also, onion and its greens, a bunch of carrots and their greens, a couple of cloves of garlic, more than a thumbworth of chunks of ginger, a third of a bottle of leftover red wine, parsley, a chicken, two jalapenos, three stalks of lemongrass, black pepper, the juice of three limes and a lemon. In other words, everything that seemed like it would chat nicely together. I might add dumplings, or I might not.
- roasted zuke, summer squash, and onion-with-green-bits
- spicy cucumber salad (with salt, pepper, cayenne, ginger powder, sugar, and ginger-and-peppercorn vinegar)
- green salad with three-mushroom chicken (shiitakes, very yellow moist oyster mushrooms, and maitakes)
- cherries
- cantaloupe with lime
- sorbets (mango-tangerine, raspberry, passionfruit)
