Lots of stuff, though less choice than last week.
  • two heads of lettuce (I chose green leaf and what looks like a red Boston lettuce, since I already have some red leaf.)
  • 3-4 pickling cucumbers (I took 4; I've been in much more of a cuke mood this year than the last couple of years.)
  • 5 summer squashes (I took all zukes.)
  • 3-4 handfuls of garlic scapes (It's a lot; I'm thinking of braising a lot of them, and perhaps combining some of that with nectarines, to put on fish or chicken.)
  • a bunch of scallions (I chose white, because the greens were nicer than the red.)
  • a bunch of chard (I chose colorful ones, since yesterday's share had white chard (much younger than this chard).)
  • a small bunch of arugula or cilantro (The former, definitely.)
  • a third of a bag (perhaps a third of a pound?) of mesclun

  • fruit share: a quart of strawberries
  • a half-pint (?) of peas

The rumor is that the fruit share will become raspberries soon.

It's also a Boston Organics delivery day, a small box, 2/3 veg.
  • a bunch of big-leaved white-stemmed chard (MA grown)
  • 250 grams of strawberries (Hm. Some are already starting to mold. I shall email them.)
  • five medium yellow onions
  • three heads of garlic
  • five medium summer squashes (that must be why I chose all zukes! :-) (MA grown)
  • a palm of ginger
  • two oranges
  • four nectarines
  • three limes

Yay, limes! Somehow I've been much more in a lime mood than lemon, recently.

First thoughts: cold fresh-pea soup, lots of green salad (of course), greens sauteed with roasted garlic, cucumber salad, roasted summer squashes.
