Shabbat menu

- challah with some whole wheat flour, and oat bran
- roasted garlic
- calabresi olives
- lentil soup with onion, a head of garlic, cubed beef, collards, a yam, mushrooms, beet greens, and rehydrated shiitakes
- jasmine rice with preserved lemon and pine nuts
- roasted yam, beet, and Vidalia onion with cayenne
- green salad with red leaf lettuce, red scallions, cucumber, dill, and bits of alderwood-smoked salmon with a mustard dressing
- fruit salad (mostly strawberries and honeydew, a bit of nectarine, lime juice)
- chocolate cake with maple glaze
Everything's ready or finishing cooking, except the salad dressing. Time for a shower.
I can open my windows again! Just in time for all the rain, and I don't have time to put all the plants out, but yay!
