Health update: I stopped taking ibuprofen Tuesday evening, and things seem to be better. I can still feel the muscle that was pulled a little bit, but not to the level of needing pills. Plus the mosquito bite itchiness seems to have subsided. Yay.
There was a blackout in my area last night, about 8:30 to 10:30. There were problems in Union Sq. yesterday, but that was earlier; I'm not sure what happened to cause my blackout. It would've been nicer had (a) I been able to go out on the porch (it had just been stained), and (b) a crazy guy hadn't been walking up the street shouting profanity extremely loudly. I now appreciate the fans in my house much more.
I'm ready to have the house painted already; the plants will do better on the porch than in my kitchen, and I really want to be able to leave my windows open; it's oppressive when I get home.
