one of the artists who exhibits at 0 church st makes cool jewelry. specifically, pins, since they're the most intricate pieces (and i don't have holes in my ears for the other stuff). anyway, i got a pin from her a couple of years ago, and another last year. the needle part of the first one broke, and last year she said to bring it in, and she'd fix it (apparently the needle is a particular kind not so many people use). so i brought it in yesterday (a year after she'd told me), and she's going to fix it, will ship it to me in a few weeks. she seemed apologetic about the delay, but it's not as if i would wear it as is.... the coolest part of this was that she was really pleased to see her work again; it's in a different style than what she's doing now, and she remembered it being fun to make.
