Friday bits
Mar. 31st, 2006 02:08 pmThe end of the key quest: yesterday I brought the title to the dealer, and lo, a key was cut. Just in time, too, since today marked the beginning of street cleaning in some neighborhoods ("to make up for April 17").
I was right by the big Super88, and took the time to check it out. Much bigger, lots more stuff, and the fresh noodles I get were on sale, two for one. Score! I resisted the fresh mushrooms and ginger, at least.
My pedometer has gone a bit wonky (I know it takes more than 400 steps for me to get from my house to work), so I'm glad to have found a pedometer map based on Google maps. It doesn't help with the inside walking, but it's something. (Someone's linked to this before, but I forgot to bookmark it previously.)
Newton's getting a kosher strip mall. Well, a deli, a bakery, a butcher, and a pizza place (cholov Yisrael). Cool.
March is going out like a lamb, which has me wondering when that leonine (leonid? ;-) weather happened. Anyway, it's lovely out, so of course tons of people are out in Copley. It's still breezy, despite the warmth, which is why one guy on a scooter had tied a big pieced of plastic to the handle, to use it as a sail.
Farwing-inspired silliness: a new industry calibrating people's senses. Bring in your sense of taste for a tune-up!
