Reminder to self for Shabbat menu planning: I still have left from last week a head of cabbage, two yams, and the pint of cherry tomatoes.
- two bunches of spinach
- two bunches of green chard
- a head of cauliflower
- two stalks of broccoli
- a large beet (edit a golden beet!)
- twelve medium red-skinned potatoes
- a bag (three pounds) of onions
- a bag (a third of a pound?) of crimini mushrooms
- a medium eggplant

(I was panicked in Israel one time about checking broccoli. The friend I was cooking with called his rabbi (it was his kitchen), and was told "Look at it. If there are bugs, don't eat it." Which he had to repeat a couple of times until I could calm down enough to look at broccoli without stress.)
