I wonder if the forsythia will bloom again in a month or two. That's got to use up a lot of energy. Similarly for the crocuses; I don't know if a bulb has more than one shoot-growing/year.
I rather like the cold wweather, but I wish the weather pendulum would slow to a more season-appropriate pace.
What? Didn't the northeast just get covered with some massive amount of snow and horror? (I want warmth! We're getting snow and highs in the teens :( )
Yup. Almost 2 feet of snow Sunday, but it was light, dry powder, so the water content was pretty low. Which meant that when the temperature shot up to the 40s and higher, it melted pretty fast. There's still a bit left, but just little bits.
Don't worry, we're getting cold weather this weekend.
I think I just got spoiled by about 3 weeks of temperate weather when I returned after my trip to Boston. It was in the 50's for a nice stretch. *sigh*
