  • six ears of corn
  • two eggplants (I chose long white-and-violet ones)
  • a bunch of red beets with greens
  • a bunch of edamame (but apparently many people weren't taking theirs, so the site coordinator said we could take two)
  • four White Wing onions
  • two green bell peppers (traded for eggplants in the trade box)
  • two and a half pounds of slicer tomatoes
  • two and a half pounds of heirloom tomatoes
  • a third of a pound of mixed braising greens
  • a bunch of kale (I chose lacinato)
  • four hot peppers (I chose jalapenos)
  • a head of garlic

I've already steamed and salted the edamame, and half the eggplant and the garlic has been eaten, too. The corn has been sliced off the cob and frozen, if not already eaten.

Plan: saute the greens (kale, beet, braising) with onion and perhaps some sweet potato (and miso paste? somehow that appeals, but would have to buy some to do that, and/or vegan sausage). Perhaps make candied jalapeno slices (I have more hot peppers in my freezer to add to the ones I got this week)? Make another eggplant and tomato dish.
