So much for dissolvable stitches

I pulled out a piece yesterday. Ick.

Now I know the dissolvable ones are white, though.

So did they use the wrong ones? Sue them!

No, I think they used the right ones, but they didn't fully dissolve. Apparently they don't always. This bit had been bothering me for a while, too.

(Z said that she found a knot from stitches that had been put inside, at the port site, that had worked its way out through the skin. And all they said was "Oh, sometimes they do that." Guh)

Mine didn't dissolve either. I accidentally pulled one out at one point and it bled like the dickens.

OK, they really need to change the name on these, to "usually dissolvable, but not reliably so", or something. Ugh. So sorry that it caused more bleeding; mine didn't, or at least not noticeably, and I'm finally starting to eat on that side of the mouth :-)
