Out to lunch

  • smells of horse (the mounted police were out today) and frying onions
  • chowder is only on Fridays, alternating fish and corn (note to self: remember to go on Fridays)
  • six ladies in red hats; I wonder what fun they were up to
  • touching the small fuzzy buds (will they last the winter?) of a tree that was wrapped in strings of white lights
  • I'm glad to have comfortable tights, but they keep trying to have greater acquaintance with my knees when I walk any distance
  • it's warm out, a distinct contrast to the last couple of days
  • faster to walk than wait for the T, and much nicer to be outside, even though I had to carry my coat
  • Frog Pond as skating rink includes a low wall around the ice

Ah, proof of a New England native

Uh...[personal profile] magid? It's 40 degrees. Only we cold-climate natives consider this "warm."

Ah, yes, a balmy 40. I figure it's warm if I take my coat off while walking. Right? *grin*

(Which means that this same weather 6 weeks ago was cold, but after the great freeze of the last couple of days, it's warm.)

I'm from Panamá, and I think it's warm out.
