[local eating] Enterprise Farm share
Apr. 1st, 2010 11:47 am- a bunch of kale, Hanover Salad, East Carolina Organics, NC (though the leaves are not any of the usual sorts, but a taste has it about right)
- a bag of salad mix (sustainable), Equinox Farm, MA
- a head of romaine lettuce, Lady Moon Organics, FL
- three grapefruit, Spooner’s Farm, Vero Beach, FL
- seven apples (IPM), Pine Hill Orchard, Colrain, MA
- eight parsnips, Deep Root Organics, VT
- a bag of green beans, Internatural (going to kitniyot-eating friends)
- thirteen Yukon potatoes, Prince Edward Island, Canada
- two summer squash, from somewhere or other
- five green peppers, ditto
I'm a bit annoyed about not having any clue where the summer squash and peppers came from; other things were listed in the newsletter that I didn't get (sweet potatoes would have been particularly nice); theoretically they list everything possible in the share, with particulars different based on size and luck (one head of lettuce could be one of a couple of different kinds, for instance). I don't know why it's not complete information.
