Some food this week, brought to you by the letter S
Which is for salad and for salsa; this week has included three of each.
Salads (all produce local):
Obviously, feta is my salad cheese of choice :-)
Salsas (ditto on the produce):
Nectarines are so awesome this year. I don't know why, but when I have a peach, it's pleasant enough, but nectarines make me happy.
Salads (all produce local):
- Red tomato, lemon cucumber, red pepper, feta, mayo, black pepper.
- Roasted summer squash and red onion atop red tomato and feta.
- Corn cut off the cob, diced nectarine, chives, a few leaves from the porch, feta, black pepper.
Obviously, feta is my salad cheese of choice :-)
Salsas (ditto on the produce):
- Tomatillo salsa (1 pint canned).
- Tomato and pepper salsa (3 pints canned).
- Nectarine and tomato salsa (6 pints canned).
