Swedish invasion

Well, not really. But after a lifetime of not knowingly seeing anything Swedish (the fish don't count :-), I've gotten hooked on a Swedish show on Hulu, and found a Swedish song I really like on YouTube. (And two things make a post, right?)

The show is Verdict Revised (I assume Hulu lists it that way rather than with the Swedish title Oskyldigt Dömd in order to draw more viewers in), which is about a law professor and some of his students re-investigating solved cases, often getting convicted criminals' verdicts overturned. The storytelling is interesting, relying more on interviews and logic rather than complex scientific testing to get new information, and it shows an interesting society that's obviously not mine, but close enough to appreciate without needing an interpreter (other than whoever supplied the English captions, which are charmingly not-quite-idiomatic English, even for England, which is where I suspect they were done). It's interesting hearing the spoken language, which sounds related to German but not at all harsh-sounding (something about the vowel sounds and certain consonant clusters), while having a surprising number of English cognates. Plus I like the theme music, which conveys the dramatic tension while not going to extremes.

The song is Panda DA Panda's Turbulens. I have no clue what the lyrics are about, and I'm not sure I want to know, since I like the music a lot as is, and horrible lyrics would interfere with my enjoyment.
