the splint is at 50 degrees rather than 45, but the doctor ok'd that. less than perfect, but ok for the 2 wks 'til the next appt.

the woman who put the splint on was so far from gentle, i shudder. it's not fun the 1st day w/ a new splint/cast, but this was miserable. it took ages to get to sleep, even w/ drugs, then woke up in the middle from pain, popped another pill, dozed the rest of the night as i tried to keep the arm in the least painful position (straight up). luckily this morning after a bit a later pill worked better (?), and right now, things are ok. not wonderful, but ok.
