  • wine, challah: 4 braid (which is my usual shape, but done with intent for the 4th night, which counts, right?)
  • soup: split pea (with sweet potatoes and onions)
  • pickle plate: scarlet turnips, onions
  • roasted Brussels sprouts (er, ate these in lieu of lunch)
  • baked mac and cheese, with my first bechamel ever (texture worked out, though I should have had more cheddar than mozzarella. Use what there is, etc.)
  • black radish, watermelon radish, and carrot salad
  • baked butternut squash with sauteed red onion, chickpeas, and some super-spicy tomatillo salsa I made a couple of months ago
  • cranberry sauce (very low sugar, using some leftover wine instead of water)
  • dessert: inauthentic carrot halwa
